Mars is possible. I don’t think we’ll leave the Solar System.
The gap between us and the stars is more than any distance on Earth because it involves us leaving our entire ecosystem. My argument is that our bodies are a part of that ecosystem. Intelligence may leave the Solar System, but not these bodies.
